Dear CIA,

Dear CIA,

The World Factbook 2002 provides a wrong map of Western Sahara.
According to your information Morocco has administrative control over WS.
This is not correct. The eastern part of the Western Sahara is governed by the RASD the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic which is recognized by 80 nations in the world, such as Algeria, Mauretania and South Africa.
In between the Moroccan and the RASD controlled areas there is a 2000 km long military berm and millions of land-mines.
For more information you can contact the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara , MINURSO. They provide excellent maps.

yours sincerely,
